National Institute of surgery and transplantology in Academy of medical science of Ukraine named by A.A. Shalimov and Department of laparoscopyc surgery is a center, were first laparoscopyc cholecystectomy in Ukraine has been performed. This is a surgical department, were more than 30 000 laparoscopyc operations were performed only for the last 10 years. This is a ward, were permanent creation and implementation new and improvement already existing laparoscopycal as well as traditional surgical procedures taking place.  We are creating main directions for development of laparoscopyc and miniinvasive surgery in all country.
